FIRENZE

Some good friends just got back from Florence, Italy. I made them promise to eat at my two favorite places. The Oil Shoppe has the best sandwich in the world. It is worth a trip to Italy just for the 5 Euro sandwich. The man behind the counter reminds me of the soup Nazi on Seinfield. The Golden View Ristorante was my favorite place for dinner in Florence. It overlooks Pointe Vecchio. Amazing truffles! Anyway if anyone is headed to Firenze this summer these two destinations are a must. Here is a picture from their trip and you can kinda see the Pointe Vecchio in the backgroud:

Osiris Banner Party

Osiris Banner Party was this past Saturday. We had a blast. It was really funny having our boys sing. And of course...every girl likes a boa.

GRADUATION

Here are some pictures from graduation. We had a lot of family and friends graduating on Saturday. Oliver's brother finished his masters in accounting, Ryan finished pharmacy school, my little brother and his girlfriend both finished undergrad, and Sarah and I finished law school!

On Sunday, my dad surprised my mom with tickets to Fiddler on the Roof (her favorite musical). And what made it even better is he invited her brothers and sister and their families. The whole Anderson family was together....which doesn't happen very often with everyone being spread out.

Mine That Bird

The past few days have been some of the best of 2009. They have been filled with fun times, friends, and major milestones. On Saturday, Oliver and I won the Kentucky Derby bet at the Young at Art Kentucky Derby Party (a whole $17 dollars). Mine that Bird turned out to be a good pick even though I was pulling for Friesan Fire. Plus, I got to wear a really big hat. Don't my friends look so cute? James made Lisa take hers off on the way to the Dixon b/c he couldn't see out the car windows. The boys all ended up having fun b/c they handed out cigars after the race. Sunday we went to the James Taylor concert at Music Fest and even though it was pouring down rain it was great. There are literally only two musicians I have any desire to hear in concert (obviously not a big music person) and James Taylor is one. The other is Van Morrison which I saw a couple of summers ago in Italy. So the whole concert thing is definitely checked off my bucket list. On Monday I took my next to last law school exam and my provisional class of the Junior League "graduated." On Tuesday, I FINISHED school! It is such a wonderful feeling! We celebrated with a Cinco de Mayo party at May and Patrick's house. And again I got to put on a big hat....there is something so much fun about hats.
