Our Routine

When Elizabeth Magee was old enough to sit in her bumbo, I started sitting on the floor to put on my makeup with her beside me.  I remember the first time I did it Oliver walked in the room and said, "You needed a girl."

Our little morning routine has slowly involved to where now, Eliabeth Magee stands under me while I blow dry my hair and has me dry her hair.  Then I put in my curlers and she insists on putting in her curlers.  Make-up in still her favorite...she has some old makeup containers and uses my brushes.....oh how I love my little girl!  This age and stage is so fun!

New Words

Elizabeth Magee is going to a wonderful big sis if she loves her twins like she loves her Lambie and Angel Dear.  Both her "lovies" must eat breakfast every morning and dinner every night.  She usually puts them in her high chair while I'm cooking and "feeds" them.  She also shares her milk with them and we put diapers on them.
New words.  Every week.  Last week, her new words were "moon" and "school."  We are running pretty early now and taking her with us -- when I wake her up I ask her if she wants to go see the moon...she repeats moon until she can point and see it.  Then, about every 5 minutes, she points up to the sky and says moon.  If you ask her if she likes school (Mother's Morning Out), she smiles, nods yes, and says "skool."

This week: "bug" and "bowl" so far.  When she sees a bug on the floor she says, "bug" and then "dadda"....because I don't pick up bugs...we save those for daddy.  It's really fun watching her soak up information....it's also scary to realize I can't pick out which words she is learning.  She is deciding all on her own.  Oliver and I are working on cleaning up our language really quick!

Twice As Nice

Can you tell our news? Look closely -- very closely and you'll see the best part-- TWO BABIES!!!! We are over the moon excited! I honestly can't believe it! I've experienced being a twin and now I get to also experience having twins!! I believe these two are going to change our lives a little more than Elizabeth Magee has but I couldn't be more thrilled! Our doctor said today that he believes he will be able to tell genders in four weeks!!! Heartbeats today: 150 and 173.

Game Day #2

Elizabeth Magee continues to love the Grove as much as her daddy. We just can't quite figure out nap time so yesterday, daddy's shoulder had to do!

Pure Joy

This is my favorite picture I've ever taken of Elizabeth Magee -- it's currently being printed and I'm TERRIBLE at getting pictures printed!  Yesterday afternoon we had a little outing to Wolfchase Mall to ride the fabulous carasousel.....  I got a look at what Elizabeth Magee will look like on Christmas morning in a few years when she knows that Santa has come.....I don't think I've EVER seen such a look of pure joy on her face!

Three rides for $5 is not a bad way to spend the afternoon!

Three Men and a Baby

Oliver had a mini-reunion this weekend with his best friends from college.  Elizabeth Magee taged along for the Grove on Saturday afternoon.  Oliver was walked from Matt's tent to our tent carrying a bottle of milk and a bottle of water.  Someone stopped him to say, "My how the Grove has changed for you."  Ha!  So true!
