Happy Halloween

Daddy joined us for the parade this year--EM was a little over whelmed....

Happy Halloween!  We've had a crazy busy fun filled week and lots of sugar!  We've worn our costumes about five times this week and loved every minute of all the fun!  Poppy pulled up tonight at a friends' party after the parade -- I bet she's walking within the month!

This Town Loves Halloween!

I'm not sure how I feel about Halloween but this town sure loves it.  Everywhere (the library, the local nursery, the entire Crestline Village) has Halloween activities.  We've already been to about four and it's on Tuesday morning!  We have about six more to go :)  You get your money out of your costume around here!

On another note, we moved into our house a year ago this week....it's hard to believe  how fast time has flown by and how much has changed since last year!

It's beginning to feel like fall on our morning wagon rides!

Halloween Fun Festival Number 1 -- the Oak Street Nursery!  Pumpkin painting in your pjs in the morning and then coming back in the afternoon to pick it up and hear the winners.  Sadly, Elizabeth Magee's crazy eyed pumpkin did not win!

Fun Halloween Party!

And because I'm a little amazed that this is EM's THIRD Halloween -- here are pictures of her first and second Halloweens!

A Week Away

We loved our week in Mississippi.  Lots of good play time!

I thought these pictures were pretty great -- who would have told my dad that thirty years after the picture on the right he would be holding twin granddaughters????

Siggi always has good ideas for chew toys and read book after book after book to Elizabeth Magee.  EM referred to Siggi as "my Siggi" if the babies got to close!

Poppy came for a visit and it's mighty special to get to see her and Net holding their great-grands!

My babies are 7 months today!  How did that happen?  They are eating four times a day, sleeping till 7 am, and loving baby food.  Poppy is EVERYWHERE.  Yesterday she crawled into the shower and into the fireplace - covered in soot!  Then last night, she pulled up on the toy basket and was standing by herself.  She loves cords.  We never baby-proofed for Elizabeth Magee and wouldn't have to for Mary Thorne -- but we are going to have to start major babyproofing for Poppy.  Mary Thorne is the sweetest baby.  She's turned into a real mama's girl.....she can turn her cry into laugh in a split second.  All she needs is for someone to smile and she starts smiling.  Mary Thorne thinks Elizabeth Magee is the cats meow.  She is obsessed with her and will let her push her down and pour water on top of her head in the bath and laugh at all of it-- Poppy is not as impressed by big sister's tricks!  We are having so much fun these days -- I love to hear Elizabeth Magee talk to her sisters -- she talks to them in a high pitched voice and it's adorable.  She talks to me all day long.  We have a constant conversation and for the most part she's very reasonable.  She is so sweet to her baby dolls and loves on them all day long.  She fixes them lunch and puts them down for naps --- she tries to be just like mama which is very concerning --- trying to remember that she is watching and listening and learning from everything I do.....quite scary!

A GREAT Win

I have no idea if this picture will develop, but it is probably my all time favorite of Oliver and his brother.  These two could not have been more happy about an Ole Miss last second victory over LSU.  I think it's priceless.  I love that Matt is actually tearing up.

Our babies are TROOPERS in the Grove.  No naps, but a table full of sweet treats helps.  I did the flowers this week (with help from Net...ok....Net did the flowers but I found the pin on pinterest)...

I sat with my LSU friends for most of the game....they only let me sit b/c I had red wine ---  this game is always really special because we have such good friends that are LSU fans.....we usually don't win!

These three.  About two seconds after this picture I watched Mr. James split his last airplane bottle of Jim Beam between these two -- it was kinda sweet!

And this picture again cropped and filtered:

Priceless.

We were all happy to see Daddy and get home after a week away -- I'll post more pictures from our week later!  It's good to be home!

Pumpkin Patch

We visited the pumpkin patch at St. Peter's in Oxford this afternoon --- I've been so excited about taking these pictures all week.  Of course, we had an accident in our matching dresses.....so play clothes it was. But nonetheless I'm so happy to have these priceless pictures!

Please notice baby Reese's head sticking out from behind....we tried to hide her!

Best picture ever!

How cute is my kitchen?

How cute is my kitchen these days?  We have our family time meal together in the mornings -- we all get up and sit around the table and have a big breakfast....something my mama instilled in me. To me, it's the most important meal of the day, and I love our family breakfasts.  Supper on the other hand...it's a work in progress.  The girls usually eat between 5:30 and 6:00 and then Oliver and I eat after they go to bed....family dinner is one my list of goals, but right now it just wouldn't be practical or enjoyable for anyone.  Right now I turn their high chairs around and feed them together.  It's quite a sight and I think a little overwhelming for Oliver to come home to!  We do have fun...we sing silly made up songs for most of dinner --- our favorites are "where is daddy?" and "I like to eat, eat, eat [whatever is on the plate]".....

Wagon Ride

We gave this wagon to Elizabeth Magee for her first birthday.  Well, today was the twins first time to go for a ride -- and they loved it!  We made it all the way down the street and then brought it in the backyard for them to sit while EM played on the swing set.  I know it seems like a little thing but it's huge for us -- for the twins to be able to sit somewhere while she plays is a big mile marker for us!
