Island Time

We've been on a little Bahamas vacation this past week. It included lots of rest and relaxation.  Much needed and much appreciated!

My favorite dinner was at the One & Only --- the lobby had some amazing artwork!

I love this one of the lovebirds--- you can't really tell but the spots of color in the painting are globs of paint made to look like people dancing!
And I loved this picture of teenagers jumping. I would love a picture of my girls doing this in 15 years!

Our waiter offered to show us "the real Bahamas" -- for a small fee --- and we really learned a lot. We saw the Greek Ruins, went to a fish market and watched them cut the conch out of the shell, went to the rum factory and got cake, he took us to the Queens staircase, and even went to his parents house and met his parents.

We took a ferry ride into downtown Nassau one morning.

We stayed at Harbor side Atlantis. Our balcony was surrounded by some of the biggest boats I've ever seen! We kept waiting for an invitation to go on board!
