My faithful blog readers (aka my grandmother) has been after me to update her with some pictures of Elizabeth Magee. January has been blah. The weather started off nice at the first of the month and has now rained for what feels like two solid weeks. I think we've been able to walk twice in two weeks. If you know me......you know that = bad! But we've done a few special things -- last weekend we took a day trip to Philadelphia to celebrate the soon to arrive Audrey Leigh!
I got a little freaked out when it was time to leave and realized the next time I saw Leigh Allyn she would have Audrey and I would have the twins. Oliver was a sweetheart to drive me and Elizabeth Magee to the shower -- even though he had a sinus infection -- I'm still feeling good but I cannot sit still for long and driving two hours would have too hard!
We've hit up just about every storytime in this city. The Vestavia Library had a "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" fundraiser two weeks ago. Elizabeth Magee did NOT like the house (in fact she is still asking if the mouse is "home" -- i.e., his home, not ours!).
We made a little mouse last week and she is rather proud of him.....
In other EM news, she's been sleeping in her big girl bed for almost three weeks! Yay! The transition was so much easier than I could have thought.....she cried the first night for 20 minutes and the next day at nap for 10....but since then.....no problems or tears! We are 75% potty trained -- she hasn't pooped in her diaper in 3 days and stays dry most of the day. I'm thinking we will move to big girl panties next week! Those were my two goals with her before the twins arrive - big girl bed and potty trained - so far we are on track to finish both before their big arrival (which is hopefully at least another 6 to 8 weeks away) -- my personal goal is 34 weeks! Anything after that and I'll be really pleased!
We have almost finished the nursery and just need to hang pictures in EM's big girl room. After we hang pictures this weekend, I'll post some pictures!
