Two Things that Have Made My Day
Elizabeth Magee loves to cook. She is so happy sitting on the kitchen counter or playing in the cabinets. Her kitchen is set up in my kitchen and we spend most of every morning in the kitchen. Anyway, we've gotten the Easter eggs out and this morning I walked into the kitchen to find her saying "you cook eggs"!!!
Thanks Jill Bell for this text. It made me smile! I had a doctor's appointment this morning...babies are weighing in at 4.6 (Baby B) and 4.7 (Baby A). I asked the doctor if she thought we could make it another two weeks -- she kinda giggled and said "it's a possibility...."

Almost There!
I cannot believe I'm posting a belly picture - I think this is a first...but I'm huge! 35 weeks on Saturday and hoping to make it to 36 weeks. As of my last appointment, I've gained 24 pounds. I was never this pregnant with Elizabeth Magee. I waddle everywhere. My back is killing me. Last night was the first night I've slept through the night in three months. We have a middle of the night plan in place...and a day plan...but the middle of the night is what worries me.
Elizabeth Magee and I talk about the hospital everyday and how mama is going for "three days" and then I'll be "back." She can even say the babies names...to hear her sweet little voice say "Mary Thorne" will melt your heart. She has been able to say Poppy for months....
I've got a great pregnant tip that I'd never heard of before last week. With Elizabeth Magee I never had any swelling or retained any fluid. For some reason, last week my ankles, hands, and feet started to swell. Well, I flipped out....my doctor said to add lemons to my water and drink it all day. I did it for two days and all the retained fluid was gone! I swear it's a miracle!

Happy 2nd Birthday!
Happy Happy Birthday Elizabeth Magee! You are such a joy! At two you have lots of favorite things and you are changing so much everyday! Just this week you've started three word sentences. Your first three word sentences were:
1. Siggi cooks mush. Oatmeal is your favorite breakfast right now.
2. Daddy fix it. Your daddy hung your swing this weekend and you were SO excited!
3. Mama come back. This is what you told your teachers today at lunch.
You know so many words but you still have your own little language....however, it is disappearing a little more each day. Your favorite lovey is still Lambie. You love Lambie. Lambie goes everywhere.
Your favorite foods: blueberries, oatmeal, cheese, crackers, green peas, green beans, goldfish, cheerios, and chocolate. Chocolate is the reason you are potty trained at two! You are a good eater and eat what your parents eat - last night you had fish and veggies!
You love Ally and to go walking. You talk about babies all the time. You know there are "2 babies" in mommy's tummy -- you can even say their names -- I sure hope you like the babies when they come home!
Everytime anyone is on the phone, they are talking to Sis. You ask for Daddy all day long while he's at work. We read Olivia the Pig everyday before nap. We read Goodnight Moon every night before bed. You seldom say "no" but always ask for "more."
You loved your birthday party. Your favorite part was the chairs that we rented. You are still asking about them! You have adjusted so well to your big girl bed and to potty training. You amaze me everyday! You still pat your mama on the back and you LOVE your daddy.
Your birthday party was so fun. We celebrated on the 16th and then again on your real birthday on the 20th!
Poppy gave you a baby doll for your birthday and a baby bed. You have rocked and kissed and hugged your baby all week long.

You have lots of new friends and they all showed up for your party!
Of course, you rode it for two minutes and then had to give Lambie a turn.
Net spent your birthday week with us -- she made it extra special. We sang you Happy Birthday several times on Wednesday morning. After each time you wanted "more." It was your birthday so we sang and sang!
At story time, Ms. Eve sang you Happy Birthday and you got to wear the Birthday Hat for the whole story!

Week Away
Sweet Elizabeth Magee has spent the week with my parents in Senatobia. From my moms daily pictures, she isn't going to want to come home today!! I've been able to rest a lot this week which has been really nice.

Elizabeth Magee loves animals - especially cows and her hand me down horse, Pete. Sadly I haven't got a Pete picture this trip!!

Big girl slide!

Play date with one of my childhood friends' son, Ford. His daddy beat up Big Bird at my 3rd Birthday Party!!

I did do a little twin shopping this week. I didn't realize how much I'd love matching clothes! On a baby note, Twin A is weighing in at 4 lbs and Twin B is weighing in at 3 lbs 15 oz --- only one ounce apart!! I took two steroid shots this week to speed up lung development -- just in case they decide to make an appearance before 36 weeks!!
Names are also official: Mary Thorne and Pauline Grace, calling her Poppy!

The Nursery and Weekend
Elizabeth Magee lived in the moses basket for the first 6 months of her life....for some reason I don't think the twins will be safe in it....so we probably won't use it as much!
Last week, Elizabeth Magee and I made Valentines for her Mother's Morning out class. I thought they turned out pretty cute!
Oliver went to Rosemary Beach this weekend for Collin Tackett's wedding. I was very sorry I didn't get to go...but my parents came and played for the weekend. It was a good thing they were here because Saturday afternoon, I ended up at the hospital with some contractions. I got a shot and was sent home....but EM went home with Siggi and "Frank" for the week so that I could rest -- she is officially calling him Frank....she runs after my mom saying "Frank" "Frank"....
We are having a small birthday party for Elizabeth Magee next weekend. My mom brought up her dress this weekend and I'm in love with it. I have it hanging on the outside of my closet to make me feel better about missing her this week :)

A Special Visit
Our friends came to visit! Emily brought her girls for a 24 hour play date last week! Oliver made fun of me for being giddy for two days before they came....but it was so fun to have our friends here.

Elizabeth Magee referred to Virginia as "friend". She has asked me 452 times for "friend" since Virginia left on Friday.

Dorothy has grown and changed since we last saw her on Christmas Eve. Elizabeth Magee referred to her as "baby".
Gee's daddy read to all the girls -- a little practice for when he has 3 of his own!
