Moving Day

Moving day is here! Yikes! The packers arrived yesterday at 8 am and by today at 11 everything was packed and loaded. This is the way to move! While our stuff is in route to Birmingham, Oliver and I are enjoying a little vacation at the Embassy Suites -- gotta love a cook to order breakfast! Elizabeth Magee is hanging out in Mayberry and being spoiled by grands and great grands. She was so happy to see my parents Wednesday afternoon --- she and dad spent the morning yesterday seeing Pete ( the 20 year old horse), going to the Bank (if your not from Mayberry you won't understand the significance), and he took her to the Shell station and let her pick out her own candy. When mom asked dad what kind of candy she picked out -- he didn't even know -- but said she ate it all!

Can't wait to get everything input new house on Monday! I'll post more pics soon!

Halloween Number One

Friday night we had our first fall festival.  Everyone has told us that Crestline (the part of Mountain Brook we live in) is obsessed with Halloween.  There is a Halloween parade on Halloween and the community festivals started last weekend.  We went to one on Friday night....I must say my little moo cow is precious!

Elizabeth Magee has turned into her daddy's copy cat.  If he does something, she does it.  He squatted down for a picture and she squatted in the same position.  I've also lost my status as favorite parent in three weeks staying home...sad...she now screams for "daddy" when she's upset and starts asking where he is about 5 minutes after he walks out the door for work.

Enjoying Fall

We've been enjoying fall to the max around here.  We've been to Oxford for all the home games -- last Friday, Elizabeth Magee and I went a little early and bumped into the true mascot on the Square.  EM was SO excited walking across the street to see Colonel Reb and then...didn't look to happy in the picture!

Were also enjoying Birmingham.  The Mountain Brook Library story time is very impressive.  Songs, snacks, a dressed up storyteller, and a bubble machine make for a very fun morning if you are 20 months old!
Granddaddy (insert scream) treated us to some yogurt last week.....made this little girl beyond happy.  Elizabeth Magee has lots of new words - move, off, apple, cook-cook (stickers), and everything is number two.  We know what sounds a coo, cat, and dog make....her favorite song is the Itsy-Bitsy Spider.

GROVE PARTY

We had our "Gender Reveal" Party at the Homecoming Game on Saturday.  Helene did a fabulous job on the cakes....yes...she made TWO cakes....so fun....

We waited till 10:15 to cut the cakes.  So many of our family and a friends came....which made the day even more special...
Baby A (80% sure on this child's gender)  was PINK!!!  I think I squealed REALLY loud.  Then, Baby B's cake was also PINK.....I think I squealed REALLY REALLY loud.  Can you imagine how lucky?  If I could have custom designed my family.....it would have be three little girls!
My sweet college roommate and maid of honor, Liv
My friends, between the three of us we will have 4 girls in the next year!!!!!

Oliver is still a little bit in shock......he's thrilled and going to be the best daddy to all those little girls.....he did  kept saying how broke he's going to be :)
Everyone kept saying "three wedding".....I kept thinking "three Tri Delts".......

Our family of three......we took Elizabeth Magee into the ballgame and she stayed the whole game.  Many thanks to Betsy Carol and Marty for helping entertain her (and holding her for her nap the whole third quarter).

We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends and to be the parents of three baby girls!

Footie PJ Time

There is nothing cuter than footie pjs.....it got a little cold in Memphis over the past few days...so we broke out the footie pjs last night.  I think Elizabeth Magee had forgotten about them since last winter...she wasn't sure what to think last night and then wouldn't take them off this morning!

On our twin note, everything looked great at the doctor appointment today.  They are both growing the same and on schedule.  Heartbeats were 155 and 157.  The tech was certain she could tell the gender of Baby B and 80% sure she could tell the gender of Baby A.....I'm SO ready for the Grove....we are cake cutting at 10:15 a.m.!!!

Loving the Fall

We spent a few days of our "fall break" in Tuscaloosa with my mom's parents.  We went shopping one morning and Elizabeth Magee walked straight to the shoes, pulled down the leporad print flat and began yanking off her white keds.  Yikes.
Does everyone else love pinterest?  I've gotten really into and am loving all the pumpkin receipes!  This receipe I'm going to try this afternoon -- two ingredients -- cannot get easier than that!

Last week, I made the above but with a Spice Cake mix and put a cream cheese mixture in the middle of the muffins -- YUM!

Game Day

We enjoyed a rainy rainy Saturday in the Grove! My favorite part of the day was walking Elizabeth Magee through the Tri Delta house! She enjoyed seeing her future home :)

Cleaning Monster & Birthday Dinner

Oliver says I've created a monster.  Elizabeth Magee played with the above four bottles of cleaning supplies for 30 minutes yesterday.  She picks up the lysol, points at the floor and begs me to spray some so she can scrub with a rag.
She is also stealing clothes from around the house and putting them in the washing machine.  Yesterday morning, I found the entire contents of her pajama drawer in the washer.  Tuesday night she kept pulling on her clothes saying, "off."  Oliver took her clothes off and she ran them to the washing machine.  That's when he told me I'd created a monster!
Yesterday was Oliver's 29th birthday - WOW - we met the fall he turned 19.....I can't believe I've known him 10 years!  For his birthday dinner, I made his favorite --- chili cheese hot dogs.  Gross, right?  I also tried these No Fried-Fries from Pinterest:

INGREDIENTS

2 large russet potatoes (2/3 lb each), peeled
2 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Heat oven to 450°. Cut potatoes in half horizontally; cut each half into 1/3-inch-thick fries and place in a bowl of cold water. Remove from water and dry thoroughly. Toss with oil and sprinkle with salt. Place fries on a cookie sheet. Roast until browned and cooked through, turning occasionally, 25 minutes.

The skinny:

175 calories per serving, 7 g fat (1 g saturated), 27 g carbs, 2 g fiber, 3 g protein

Overall, these are the best baked fries I've ever tried....they are crunchy and salty....not greasy....

Elizabeth Magee giving her daddy a big ole birthday hug!  We are so thankful for Oliver and all he does for us!

Gender Reveal

My doctor has said they will be able to tell the gender of the babies at my next appointment -- a week from Thursday! Needless to say, I'm very very excited. Because Oliver can't make the appointment we are planning a very informal reveal next Saturday in the Grove. My sweet friend Helene has offered to keep the big secret and bring it to the Grove. Our kick off is at 11:20 am so if you are in the Grove next week, come by our tent!
