Double Decker

My girls spent some time with William Faulkner today at Double Decker....EM was very skeptical at first....she didn't know if he was "real" or not.  She kept asking, "why hasn't he been made real?" -- Reminded me of the Velveteen Rabbit book and how the really loved bunny becomes real.  I hope they can all go to Ole Miss and take the same William Faulkner class I did --- he'll always live in Oxford!

Our Easter

I caught the twins playing in my dining room curtains on Good Friday.  They were having so much fun running and taking turns hiding.  They were laughing the entire time and had no idea I was watching.

We got two extremely short visits from Aunt Sis and Uncle Ryan last week.  It helped the week feel more like a holiday to have Sis here twice!  I'm going to love being halfway between Greenville and Senatobia -- I bet we get a few more visits in the next four years than we have in the last two!

 Saturday we had two more Easter Egg hunts.  The Crestline Easter Egg hunt was complete with a HUGE bunny coming in on the fire truck.  Elizabeth Magee was so scared of him -- she couldn't even hunt eggs and was ready to go as soon as he arrived!

  Then we went to Mountain Brook Baptist for her school Easter Egg hunt.  She was much happier and a champion at hunting eggs:

The Easter Bunny found our house too!  We got to hunt eggs in our pjs and then go hunt more eggs at Aunt Cin's house!  When I asked EM if she wanted to take some of her candy to Aunt Cin's house she said, "No, Aunt Cin has a lot of candy!"

The lady who made our Easter dresses didn't have them ready in time for Sunday.....but Elizabeth Magee wore Caroline's dress --- so sweet and special --- especially since we were with them for Easter! Many thanks to our B'ham family for making the weekend so special -- I didn't have to cook breakfast or lunch on Sunday -- such a treat for me :)

Palm Sunday

 A sweet lady in our church is also a photographer.  She sent me these two adorable pictures from Palm Sunday.  This may be my favorite picture of Lambie.....I love the palm in the picture.  I dread the day when Lambie isn't in all my favorite pictures!

Serious egg hunter.  I think we may have a little competitor on our hands.  Look at all those eggs.  She put all those in there!

First Easter Egg Hunt(s)

Some friends and I held a little Easter Egg Hunt in the Hidden Park on Saturday morning.  The weather was perfect -- I think we had close to 80 people there and even the Easter Bunny showed up! This was the twins first Easter Egg Hunt and of course they hated the Bunny:

I've got to brag on Poppy -- she completely got the point of the egg hunt and was racing around grabbing eggs and putting them in her basket.  I was amazed because I had no idea she would be able to participate!  She is a one year old on speed -- I guess the baby that crawled at 5 months and walked at 9 months would egg hunt at one!

It was completely her day!

At church, we had our second egg hunt.  Getting a picture of all is no easy task.

Elizabeth Magee has taken to holding the twins...which is something she never wanted to do when they were newborns.  She enjoys it a lot more than they do!

 By her second egg hunt, EM got the point and picked up her pace a little :)

All in all, it was a great weekend and I loved getting to love on my babies!

A Few Photos

One of my dearest friends had a baby this week.  She is beautiful and so so tiny.  It's made me really stop and think all week about how my babies were only babies for a little bit of time.  They already aren't really "babies."  I'm far busier now than I was in the newborn stage but it's a different kind of busy.  I'm still exhausted at the end of the day but not the same kind of exhausted.  I don't miss the nurse, weigh, supplement with bottle every three hours thing.  Now it's three children running in three different directions thing.  They can at least all cry "mama" now....and I can tell a hurt cry from a non-hurt cry.  I look back and don't really know how we survived those first few months but we did and I'm so thankful to be at this fun stage of babies!

Double trouble and double blessings....all at the same time.  These two love to make be run all day long.  They really don't like to be still.  Poppy has taken to calling me "Ma."  I love it.

Elizabeth Magee has grown into such a great big sister over the last year.  I love to see my girls playing together!  We have a "time out" corner in our dining room.  If Elizabeth Magee gets sent there.....these two love to go sit with her!  It's sweet and maddening at the same time!  

So much personality.  And will.  And mind of her own......that loves her mama, daddy, and baby sisters so much.  She asks us to sleep with her.  She asks if she can sleep with her sisters.  She loves Lambie so much but does leave him behind now for some things!
