We have celebrated Elizabeth Magee turning 4 this weekend! There is a big pink "4" balloon on our mailbox and every time we pass our house I say, "Somebody in this house is 4"....and Elizabeth Magee says, "Me, I am 4!" She has waited so patiently for her birthday -- almost everyone in her class is already four and she has asked for months when will she be four????? Aunt Sis came Wednesday and we loved being with her.....then Siggi and Net came on Thursday....and Aunt Sis lost her place of honor --- no one can compete with Siggi in Elizabeth Magee's eye.
Almost as unbelievable as Elizabeth Magee turning four is the fact that she has had THREE birthdays in Mountain Brook --- sometimes I feel like we just moved here and yet almost her entire life has been spent in this little community -- and we could not ask for a better, more loving community!
For her birthday, Elizabeth Magee wanted to have her friends to 32 Degrees for ice cream. We had a Rainbow Cake that was a big hit. We also had a little photo booth and props and ended up with some precious pictures.
After the party, I took EM, Ticer and Annie to do whatever Elizabeth Magee wanted to do --- she chose the Birmingham Museum of Art and "fancy restaurant".....I'm not nearly brave enough to take 3 kids to a fancy restaurant for a full meal.....so we settled for Shirley Temples at Chez LuLu....
On Sunday, I took Elizabeth Magee to the Tutus and Bowties Tea Party before the Cinderalla Ballet. She was SO excited....wanted to ask the ballerina to do a sous-sous....she lost her nerve at the last second so I asked....and her face lit but when that ballerina got up on her toes!
