First Day of School

First Day of school at IPC - Elizabeth Magee had a great first day Ms. Elizabeth's class!  At 3 1/2 she is so much fun to talk to....and the things she says....I wish I could record all of them.  But my current to favorites:  if my phone rings she says, "mama, I think it's your husband."  When I tuck her in at night she says, "Have good dreams."

Mary Thorne and Poppy enjoyed their first day in Ms. Haley's class -- I think they were a little confused why they were in the nursery on a Monday....Poppy was looking at me like, "weren't we just here yesterday???"  Mary Thorne loves to say "Poppy."

Poppy also has a new word, "snack."  Since they were 5 months old, these twins have been obsessed with snack cups -- way more than the actual snack inside the cup.  Anyway, Mary Thorne snatched Poppy's snack cup when we were leaving the JCC and ran down the hall.  Poppy stopped, stomped her foot, pointed at MT, and screamed, "SNACCCCCK."  Everyone stopped and stared.  Then a girl from my spin class said, "she can say snack!"  It was pretty funny!

A Fun Party

Elizabeth Magee's friend Annie had a gymnastics birthday party this morning.  I had no idea how much the girls would love it.  I think we may be signing them all up for a class or two!  I was kinda hoping to get to stay outside during the party (I had heard a rumor that they don't allow parents)...but when we walked in the first thing the director said to me was that I had to go with them.  After about 10 minutes, they sent Oliver in too.  BUT the girls had a blast and we had a blast because they had a blast!

Mary Thorne.  She did everything the big girls did --- but probably with more spunk and less fear!  This child is seriously not afraid of anything!

Elizabeth Magee was cautious at first but ended up having a great time.  Even Daddy got in on the action.  He ended up in the pit to pull a child or two out :)

We had a great morning and we love Annie so much!  Poppy says lots of words but the only friend name she says is, "Annie."

Life!

I feel like we are holding on to these last weeks of summer!  We've had usually cool weather that has made going to the pool that the most appealing option.  The girls have all grown so much this summer -- it's much easier to articulate the ways the twins have grown up but EM has grown up just as much.  She seems more like a child than a toddler these days --- she has constant conversations with us and can articulate her thoughts and feelings....she understands time and days....not to mention that she can memorize a whole book and then "read" it to her sisters or dolls.

We went to see Jean Jean and Papa this week.  We hadn't been to their home in a few months but EM remembered RIGHT where the candy dish was supposed to be and then kept questioning Mama Jean as to why she moved it!

At the zoo this week, feeding the giraffes was a little scary for EM.....maybe next time won't be so scary!

The three still love to all sit in the grocery cart and the twins still fit in the same swing at the tot lot!

Yesterday was a big day --- Elizabeth Magee got her first pair of "real" tennis shoes.  She was so excited....we've been talking about this for weeks......how big does she look?????

***Had to update the post with the email that Net sent:

Julia, honestly I  nearly cried when I saw  EM getting real tennis shoes.  Its just has gone by so quickly.....she'll be a Tri Delta before you know it.  Net

A Week In Miss and Some Firsts

Sis and I took the girls to Senatobia last week.  It was such a good time away and the girls got to do some fun stuff.  My Sis did the play by play on her blog but we had a great time swimming, going to the lake, going to see horses and chickens and getting spoiled by our wonderful family.

Biscuit and Poppy came for a visit and Biscuit cut EM's and Poppy's hair.....her first little haircut!

I put this picture on Facebook but wanted to record it here to.....my little girl is certainly growing up and this age is so funny.  She wore this ensemble all day last week.

Happy National Twin Day

Apparently yesterday was National Twin Day and since I'm with all my favorite twins.....  we took a twin picture.  Our time in Senatobia has been fun and of course, not long enough.  I've got a ton of pictures to share later but this one I couldn't wait to share:
Mary Thorne loves dog.  She goes to the back door and begs to be let out to see General.  She just hugs him and kisses him.  It's sweet and gross.  Mary Thorne also said, "Poppy" today --- first time I've heard her call her sister a name!  Poppy is saying "Bebe (Biscuit), SiSi (Siggy), and Na (Net)"
