It's a GIRL!!!

Very excited to announce that we are having a little precious angel love baby girl! These are just a few of the reasons I am so looking forward to having a little precious angel love baby girl:

1) Close age to our little girl cousins: Olivia and Beckett

2) Close in age to our little Memphis friends: Ginny and Dorothy

3) Instant bridesmaid/almost sister: Dorothy....since I know nothing about growing up without a twin....I am making Dorothy my angel love's almost twin!

4) The books we will get to read: Eloise and Little House on the Prairie - to name just two!

I have a great Eloise painting that Mr. Matt, Olivia's dad, painted me for my 20th birthday.....it looks identical to the above picture and will be perfect in angel love's room!

Some of my favorite childhoold memories are sitting on the sofa reading the Little House
books with my mom and sister. Then in the afternoons, Sis and I would pretend to be Laura and Mary in the field down the street from our house....can't wait to read these to my little girl!

And possibly one of the most exciting things - another Delta Delta Delta! I won't care at all if she doesn't go to Ole Miss BUT for now I am saying that another generation will be a Tri Delta!
Oh - and on a side note - it completely thrills me that Oliver is so excited about an angel love baby girl - so many boys are disappointed when they don't get a boy first --if Oliver had been like that I think it would have crushed me!

Boy or Girl?

My doctor's appointment got moved from Friday to tomorrow! That means that - Lord willing - we will know if we are having a boy or girl in less than 24 hours! We made cupcakes tonight - my parents, grandmother, Edi & her family, and Garner are coming for dinner tomorrow night to find out in person....then we have our Bible study at 7:30 so we made the cupcakes tonight. We only iced two - one pink and one blue....then we had to decide who was going to eat which one. We finally decided that I should eat pink and Oliver eat blue so we don't jinx anything!
My friend, Sarah, insists that I "know"....but honestly I have not a clue....I don't have this "mother's instinct" she keeps talking about b/c my instinct is different every 5 minutes!
Stay tuned!

A Wicked Weekend

On Friday I was sitting in a CLE and get a text from Oliver telling me had a surprise for me Sunday afternoon. Well, I love surprises and couldn't wait for Sunday to see what he had up his sleeve. If you know Oliver, you know he can't NOT tell you a surprise. I called Oliver Friday after my CLE and he told me I didn't have to wait till Sunday....he bought tickets to Wicked!

I wanted to see Wicked year before last when it came to Memphis...we missed it and I REALLY wanted to go this time it was in town.

The show was amazing and the costumes were unbelieveable....as a child the Wizard of Oz was kinda of a scary movie for me. I can remember watching it in my grandparent's log cabin in AL for the first time and being REALLY scared!

Even without Wicked, it would have been a special weekend. Our nieces, Olivia and Beckett, were dedicated on Sunday at their church in Southaven. Even though we had to cut out early, it was great to be there and witness such a special day. I am so amazed at the parents Edi and Andrew have become in the last two years. It is very inspiring for me and I am so greatful that they will be around to answer all our questions!

If I Had a Baby Bump on Halloween

Halloween Costumes for Baby Bumps:

I am now 16-going-on 17 weeks pregnant. Although my pants are getting a little tighter I am still wearing all my clothes. However, IF I were to somehow get REALLY pregnant by Halloween I would be either:

1) An oven - but my stomach would be covered....I think this look at my very pregnant stomach thing is kinda gross....I won't even take a "belly" picture to post on this thing!

OR

2) Humpty Dumpty - which I think this one is actually my favorite.
As it stands now...the only thing I will be saying on Halloween is "It's a boy" or "It's a girl." We find out October 29.....I honestly can't decide which it is.....some days I think it's a boy and some days I think it's a girl.....anyone want to take a guess?
I don't expect more than 10 guesses because I am pretty sure that is about the max number of people who look at my blog!
